Thank you David! Worked perfectly. I just put it at the bottom, easy to find.
Thanks Anita, I’d like to have one for each category page.
where in the style.css do I add the code?September 10, 2013 at 8:49 am in reply to: Modern Portfolio – adding additional widget area above about #61674
Thank you for the compliments. That worked great! Thank You.
Thanks Ozzy, Yes I would think so too,. I just wasn’t sure if was something to be concerned about. I came across a website that I looked like it was built with WordPress and was curious what theme is was. I couldn’t right click (view page source) or view page source from my browser, etc,.. Yes, I eventually found a way around, what theme etc. and it got me thinking about it. Then I did a search on the WordPress site for plugins, came across a plugin that stopped this,..
After further research it seems “we got over this practice on the web years ago”. For you ,I & others it maybe pointless but do you think it will deter most/some from at least copying?
Ahh gotcha! Not a coder myself and never thought of it that way. You are correct! My biggest concern was to have the author box display directly under the post.
Hello Brad, thanks where do I edit the hook locations?
It’s just one question, why do you think I should post “these questions” one at a time?
I thought I did include the link to the siteFebruary 5, 2013 at 2:33 pm in reply to: How to remove the word "Protected:" on a password protected page? #18306
Worked like a charm. Thanks!January 29, 2013 at 1:47 pm in reply to: How to asign a style to ALL of the text in a table? #16075
You should be getting the user email now.January 29, 2013 at 1:41 pm in reply to: How to asign a style to ALL of the text in a table? #16070
I just don’t have the time for that. Once I get the tables placed, can you do it for me to match the other page? I’ll add you to that site. About how long do you think it would take? (payment upon completion immediately this time ) Do you still have your log in info?
Yes, I did. Thank you. Sorry forgot to post.December 24, 2012 at 2:29 pm in reply to: Lifestyle Theme – table text/image alignment styling help #7314
Thx anitac – I was using excel to create the table and just couldn’t find the adjustabilty there. So I took your advice and created the table in Word. Had much greater flexibility to get it pretty close to how I’d like it.
Thank You, Steve
Ok, thx Nick. But I WAS giving feedback on the theme,.. It’s probably in a better place now for others to find.
@Bill Murray, thanks for the reply. Yes, through the help of this community forum I was able to get it working the way the client asked, except for control over what content shows on the home page.
1) I tried the /** Add support for custom header */ code and it didn’t work for me. Although ultimately that would’ve been a much better solution.
2) Don’t want to display more posts, just control WHAT displays. Maybe something like Genesis Featured Widget Amplified plug in. I was able to limit the amount of posts that display on just the home page through the use of the Genesis Grid plug in.3) Ok, well then I’ll put it it a completely different way: I’d like to have the stretch background image ability on any theme that supports a background image. But I suspect that’s a conversation I would have with a developer.
Header/logo Solution was eventually achieved here
Home page Content (partial solution) achieved here
Hope the links above help anyone else out that may have the need.
Thanks for all the input & help.
