SusanModerator
It seems to be an issue that a number of users are experiencing.
SusanModeratorIt appears that is has been broken for a while, as someone else made a comment about it a little while back.
SusanModeratorPer a response I received from @WPML on Twitter:
You should have just one widget and translate its content with String Translation. No need for widget per language.
SusanModeratorDo you currently have a "blog" page, or some other page using the "blog" template? If not, go ahead and create one, and then add that to your menu. If you already have one, you can add it to your menu, too - you can name the menu item whatever you wish.
SusanModeratorSusanModerator🙂
SusanModeratorThe slider settings are controlled separately from the Featured Widget Amplified settings. Featured Widget Amplified is designed to display featured posts or pages, but not in a slider.
SusanModeratorI recommend subscribing to Brian Gardner's blog: http://www.briangardner.com/ Brian is the creator of StudioPress, and he has cool code snippets/hints.
Bill Erickson is an invaluable resource, too: http://www.billerickson.net/
I will come back with some other resources to get you going, but in the meantime, even just reading some of the posts around here will help you.
SusanModeratorEveryone at some point was a rookie, and I'm sure that everyone at some point felt like they were in over their head, so what you're feeling is perfectly normal!
Anyway, to get you started, you should probably download the Genesis Guide for Absolute Beginners - it might make you feel a little more comfortable with playing around with your theme.
You can download it here:

SusanModeratorNice job - very clean and easy to navigate!
SusanModeratorTry the Visual markup guide - it will show you all of the areas you will want to change if you need to change your content area and the width of your site:
March 20, 2013 at 10:46 am in reply to: How to exclude certain categories from featured post widget ? #29724SusanModeratorHave you tried the Genesis Featured Widget Amplified plugin by Nick?
SusanModeratorHave you tried Bill Erickson's Grid Loop plugin? You can customize how many features and excerpts appear on the front page, and on internal pages. I have just done it with a site I'm working on - my home page has one excerpt, and the internal pages have 6 excerpts each.
SusanModeratorIn the simple edits, there is a space called "Footer Output", if you check that box, it will override all the code that is currently in the footer area. (You don't need to look for the existing links in the code.)
Then, you would put your own links into the text box. Something like:
Copyright [footer_copyright] <a href="www.yourURLhere">information about your affiliate here</a>
SusanModeratorRather than trying to change the short codes, why don't you just override what is in there, and replace it with whatever you want?
SusanModeratorI don't have a specific answer for you, but if yiu are changing fonts while creating a post, have you considered just changing it across the board in your CSS?
SusanModerator@mrjonwilson - it appears to be a user specific (or sporadic) issue - I've never seen it, but have heard of others who have had the issue.
March 16, 2013 at 8:38 pm in reply to: Full post on main page, excerpts on search/archive/category? #28407SusanModeratorHave you checked out Bill Eruckson's Genesis Grid plugin? It allows you to chose how many featured ("full") posts and excerpts to have - so, you could choose 10 featured postson front page, and 10 excerpts on internal pages (for example).
SusanModeratorPinky - I've been getting rid of spam all morning - it's been a full-time job for the past couple of days!
The StudioPress staff are investigating why the spam filter is not picking up the spam, and are working on a solution.
