Thanks, Dave. I'm going to try switching plugins off one at a time to see if that's the case. Coral Sea, that was our first thought as well, but we don't have Simple Edits installed on this site.

transmitstudioMemberOkay, this gets weirder. NO remove_action commands are respected. What the...
transmitstudioMemberYes, it could have, but I don't think that's semantically correct. Plus, it just bugged me. 😉
transmitstudioMemberThanks braddalton. I'm with you on the second style sheet. What I'm doing is replacing the main stylesheet with the Genesis style sheet to use as a base. I know there's no need to add the Genesis style sheet, it's just how I like to do it. What I'm looking for is a way to indicate the version but I think what I may do is simply define a Genesis constant and use that. The method I posted would display the parent theme version regardless of whether or not I had updated Genesis or not.
transmitstudioMemberI assume you're editing
style.css
You can add your
font-family
declaration to the group currently on lines 286-295 which is#header ul.nav li a, #header ul.menu li a
transmitstudioMemberYou'll want to target
#header ul.menu .menu-item a
