Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorThemes do not provide job board functionality. Job board functionality is provided by specialized plugins. https://www.wpexplorer.com/wordpress-job-board-plugins/
You don't have to worry about WordPress handing large databases. It scales nicely and can handle millions of records. If there's any weakness with scaling, it will be the hosting platform you choose to run it on.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorStudio Press rarely, if ever updates a child theme, and never are they auto-updated. Child theme functionality is derived from the Genesis Framework, which is updated regularly. You won't even know about child theme updates unless you log into your account and look at the downloads area.
If a child theme is updated, you have to determine if the update is worthwhile for you to incorporate or not. Updating a child theme means comparing and transferring code manually.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?June 8, 2019 at 2:40 am in reply to: Authority Pro style.css stylelint-disable stylelint-enable error #491537Victor FontModeratorNever use the WordPress editor to edit theme files. That regularly flags valid CSS as incorrect. Also, if you make a mistake using it to edit PHP, you can bring down your site. Use FTP and an editor on your desktop.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorGenesis doesn't filter your shortcodes. If anything is filtering your shortcode, the most likely culprit is WordPress.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorYou can add it back in by deleting the code in the functions file that unregisters it. You may have to supply your own CSS though. It's unlikely the related CSS, if any, would still be in the style sheet.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorPrism.js is not part of the Genesis Framework or any Studio Press theme that I'm aware of.
Also, as an FYI, if that is the URL of where the prism.js file is orginating, and that is not your server, you won't be able to compress it.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?June 6, 2019 at 7:19 am in reply to: I am unclear on the concept; how is this SUPPOSED to work? #491505Victor FontModeratorWordPress has a template hierarchy it follows. If you add widgets, you are no linger using the page you've selected as the home page. You are using the front-page.php template instead. Remove the widgets, the standard content page is used.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorThe source code on your site is really messed up. You have multiple head and body tags on the home page. Until you fix your site coding errors, nobody will be able to help you fix other issues.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorI would never use Divi. Divi is a super-bloated page builder that is proven to significantly slow down website performance. In addition it damages user content by inserting its formatting shortcodes throughout content wherever it is used. Cleaning up content so it displays correctly after Divi is removed is a nightmare. Visual Composer is another one, that like Divi, destroys user content with shortcodes.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorHi graywolf,
This is not an official Studio Press support site. It is a community forum where questions are answered by volunteers. We're end users just like you with no affiliation with Studio Press.
If you want to ask your question where it will be seen by Studio Press, I suggest you do so by opening a support ticket, joining the Genesis WordPress Facebook page, or the Genesis WP Slack group.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorThe Genesis Framework should not be used without a child theme. What child theme are you using?
When you install Genesis, you install both the framework and child theme. You activate the child theme, not the framework.

Have you requested your free website audit yet?Victor FontModeratorIt's not the menu. All of your links, when entered into the browser individually, are redirecting to your blog page. I tried testing a link in redirectdetective.com and it immediately shows a permanent 301 redirect and a mod_security error. Mod_security is a server setting.
Not sure why you're using 301 redirects, but you got something configured incorrectly. Try resaving permalinks. That can usually fix a host of redirect issues.
