Great - Thanks for the info and some great looking sites there ๐
I was wondering about the 3rd party plugins... there does seem to be a lot
Thanks again
yakkasMemberIts hard to tell - what does you masthead look like? Is it a logo or a full width image?
yakkasMemberI just use the native gallery with this lightbox plugin - but I have used Nextgen Gallery for adding galleries to sidebars on pages - worked well - other than that, custom pages
yakkasMemberhey cmaddon - it looks like you got your working or am I looking at the wrong thing?
yakkasMemberI must have been dreaming it then ๐
yakkasMemberfind the style .post-info in your styles.css and remove:
text-transform: lowercase;
or replace it with
text-transform: capitalize;
yakkasMemberI think you should be fine with what you have got - the change should move your nav down when you increase the height of the header
#header {
background: url("images/header.png") no-repeat scroll 0 0 transparent;
height: 150px;
width: 960px;
}
yakkasMember#F29122 I think, not sure which colr combo you are using.
Download Firebug to locate these in your css
yakkasMemberPut it in your themes styles.css
yakkasMemberCool - No worries ๐
Looks really nice
yakkasMemberUsing a mixture of what you have provided and the Minimum theme tutorial (I removed the #home-featured divs.... you might need to include this in your css again) - this should work.
add this to your css
a.icons_equity_symb, a.icons_equity_symb:hover, a.icons_energy_symb, a.icons_energy_symb:hover, a.icons_easy_symb, a.icons_easy_symb:hover, a.icons_pop, a.icons_pop:hover {
background: url("e3circles.png") top left no-repeat;
display: block;
margin: 0 auto 30px;
padding: 0;
text-indent: -9999px;
}
a.icons_equity_symb{ width:287px; height:289px; background-position:-10px -10px; }
a.icons_equity_symb:hover{ width:287px; height:289px; background-position:-307px -10px; }
a.icons_energy_symb{ width:300px; height:289px; background-position:-604px -10px; }
a.icons_energy_symb:hover{ width:300px; height:289px; background-position:-914px -10px; }
a.icons_easy_symb{ width:313px; height:289px; background-position:-1224px -10px; }
a.icons_easy_symb:hover{ width:313px; height:289px; background-position:-1547px -10px; }
a.icons_pop{ width:900px; height:289px; background-position:-1870px -10px; }
a.icons_pop:hover{ width:900px; height:289px; background-position:-2780px -10px; }
Then use these to add to your featured widgets as explained in the Minimum theme tutorial under the heading Set up the Social Sites Links replacing the links with the ones you want:
a class="icons_equity_symb" href="#"></a
Hope that helps
[edit] - can't see to get those links to display - so you'll just have to add to the end of the above, then replace the class for each link.... use the examples in the tutorial link and replace the class for each one
yakkasMemberhey webgirl... I'm not 100% without seeing a url.... but something like this?
.home #inner {background-color: yellow; }
yakkasMemberHey Brain
As Genesis and Thesis are 2 totally different WP frameworks, I think it would need re-coding.
yakkasMemberHey Tanya - how's things?
The background bar is added to your page by css using the iD #wrap - to remove it from this page, you would need to add a specific style for that page, like below:
Add this to your styles.css:
.page-id-8 #wrap {
background: none;
}
yakkasMemberI think they can, well I can, but your selection background color css is colored white #ffffff:
::-moz-selection {
background-color: #ffffff;
color: #000000;
}
::selection {
background-color: #ffffff;
color: #000000;
}
Change that to whatever you want and it should work
yakkasMemberHey Anitac, thanks, this trick works.
Although when using the Genesis slider, you have to include IDs - so I created a new page , uploaded the featured image and put the redirect in place. Then using Yoast SEO, I made sure the page wasn't included in the sitemap or indexed ๐
yakkasMemberYou can put it in a widget, if you use a plugin to allow php in widgets.
Otherwise you can put this in a genesis hook (in this example 'genesis_header_right')ย by adding this code to functions.php
add_action ('genesis_header_right' , 'pages_jump_menu');
function pages_jump_menu() {
echo '<form name="form1" id="form1" action="" method="get">';
$select = wp_dropdown_pages('echo=0&include=31,149');
$select = preg_replace("#<select([^>]*)>#", "<select$1 onchange='return this.form.submit()'>", $select);
echo $select;
echo '<noscript><input type="submit" name="submit" value="view" /></noscript>';
echo '</form>';
}Or if using the simple hooks plugin, then just omit 'add_action ('genesis_header_right' , 'pages_jump_menu');' and add to required hook placement
yakkasMemberTry this, where you include the ID's of the pages (or you can use exclude & page ID's)
More info on wp_dropdown_pages
<form name="form1" id="form1" action="" method="get">
<?php $select = wp_dropdown_pages('echo=0&include=31,149,20');
$select = preg_replace("#<select([^>]*)>#", "<select$1 onchange='return this.form.submit()'>", $select);
echo $select; ?>
<noscript><input type="submit" name="submit" value="view" /></noscript>
</form>
yakkasMemberyakkasMemberYou have to add the images as featured images to the posts/pages used in the slider - then they will show
