We are happy to announce the release of the Agency 2.0 child theme. This WordPress theme works on the Genesis Framework and can be downloaded by Pro Plus members in the support forum. All others can purchase the package here.
For those who already have the Agency 1.0 theme, the updated version will be sent out to the email address you used to purchase.
The Agency theme is the sixth theme released here at StudioPress which has been developed to be mobile responsive in design. View all responsive WordPress themes.
Updating to Agency v2.0
This version underwent a major design change and code update which means there’s not an easy update path. If you’re happy with your site built on a previous version of the theme, there’s no need to update.

Theme Features
The Agency child theme includes the following features: 4 color styles (blue, green, orange, red), 6 layout options, custom background, custom header, custom menus, featured images, fixed width, mobile responsive, theme options, threaded comments, WooCommerce integration.
Responsive Slider
As the Agency theme is mobile responsive in design, we recently released the Genesis Responsive Slider plugin. This is very similar to the Genesis Slider plugin, but this includes the Flex Slider script in order to make the theme fully responsive. In fact, try swiping the slider on an iPad or iPhone.
WooCommerce
In addition to the Responsive Slider, the Agency theme is also the first to incorporate WooCommerce – here’s a sample store. In order for proper integration, we developed the Genesis Connect for WooCommerce plugin to serve as a bridge.

Sweet! Been waiting for this to come out forever! Thanks for another great theme, Brian. You guys just keep raising the bar!
Yeeeees!
Been waiting with bated breath for this one Brian – figured that you would release it Friday, so this was a pleasant surprise.
Will be announcing the happy event to a couple of clients tonight and…. starting a post on the all singing all dancing Agency theme.
Genesis is the best!
Had to come back… just spotted the store.
Fabulous!
Awesome stuff! Love the original and 2.0 make it a killer!
Great to see WooCommerce support included!
I like that you guys maintain and improve your previous releases. Not everybody cares to do that for their customers. Responsive, WooCommerce… bunch of good stuff always going on here.
Yes, that’s true. It makes you more comfortable buying a theme because you know it’s only going to get better and better and better…
Why was the decision made to have a dark navigation area?
Can you still replace the slider with an embedded video like you could on Agency 1.0?
It was the integrity of the design that warranted a dark navigation area. As for the WP Cycle which was used on Agency 1.0, yes – you can put that in place of the Genesis Responsive Slider.
I meant can you replace the slider with a text widget so you can embed a video?
We experimented with a light-colored navigation area, and it was fairly easy to implement. We just changed the top of bg.png to light gray, and changed the CSS controlling the menu text colors. Looks good that way too!
I’ve just taken a peek in firebug and disabled the background image and changed the menu item colours from white to blue.
Looks like a different theme completely.
Is your site live Mark?
If it is, post a link.
Hi,
My site isn’t live yet, we were just experimenting with different possibilities. We also changed the large black portion to other colors (e.g., deep blue, etc.) and it looked beautiful!
Mark
Thanks for the suggestion.
Hi Mark
Did you go live with your light nav area?
If you have, please post a link.
Looks great. Any date for Backcountry, News, Lifestyle 2.0 releases?
In the pipeline, but hard to really say when those will make their way out.
Was just about to ask the same question, hope the News Theme makes it way out!
Great work with Agency 2.0 Brian! Thanks !
Nice work, I appreciate all the recent efforts getting several mobile responsive design themes available so quickly.
Something to note: I realize that it may not have anything to do with the new theme, and more to do with the WooCommerce cart, but on the store page, the “Add to Cart” and “Select Options” buttons do not resize very well for mobile devices. Not sure how this can be addressed, but from small phone to small tablet the buttons look pretty bad. Just though I would bring this to your attention.
Thanks, appreciate the feedback. We made a decision to let WooCommerce handle all of the CSS for the items that are output by the plugin. There was just too many instances of CSS that would have been required to add to the theme to support it.
It just gets better and better. Studiopress was my best investment ever. Thanks again.
As a photographer, you might be interested in what I’m developing these days. Or if you can hold out, I might have something really cool to show next week.
Brian…I love that Expose theme. Very attractive.
Oh, how I’ve been waiting for this! You just made my day
Thank you all so much.
Just four words can describe this piece of work: WHAT A WONDERFUL THEME
Nice theme. I like the hover link and subnavigation.
How can I accomplish that in the News Theme?
Looks promising with the responsive layout and the WooCommerce support gives me an edge for fast implementation.
Thank you! Very exciting to have a responsive small business theme! It’s wonderful and I’m going to use it soon!
woooohh.. sweet release of Agency 2.0. I love the integration of e-commerce. Studiopress FTW.
checked out the forum to download the agency 2.0 child theme and I’m either blind or the link isn’t posted yet…. any idea when/where we can download?
Are you a Pro Plus member?
yes I am… I’ve always access to all the new child themes
You should be able to download it here.
got it… thanks for the quick response Brian…. and great timing with this new theme. I was just about to start customizing the Crystal theme to meet my needs and then saw this release and it will be even better to work with. Also LOVE the woo-commerce connect plugin… great job as usual.
Very slick, love it. Most used theme by myself pesonally, scheduling some updates now! Thanks team!
Ah the long awaited Agency 2.0 – super hot and super slick! I’m gonna use it right away! Love the responsive slider!
Thanks Elle, appreciate it. We’re quite happy to finally get this theme released.
Ok, you succeeded in improving one of the best themes. Now it is time for me to test it. Well done guys!
So many goodies stuffed into one theme…
The best decisions I made professionally in the last 2 years were a: only build sites with WordPress and b: buy the Pro Plus at StudioPress ! and only build sites on that rock-solid base.
Thanks for keeping up this quality… Sometimes I am nearly embarrassed to be able to download yet another great theme for free…
I like the ecommerce style Agency theme. Good work Brian.
Can you integrate an e-junkie shopping cart with the woo commerce plug-in? Thanks.
Josh
I know you all are busy, but I’m trying to decide on buying this child theme. Is it possible to use an e-junkie shopping cart with the store on this theme? Thanks.
Thanks for the awesome new theme Brian. Great to see the super helpful Andrea Rennicks. on your team She is one of the most helpful contributors to all of us who use WordPress MU or Network version
Thank you, Rob – we consider ourselves very fortunate to have Andrea and Ron Rennick as part of the Copyblogger team!
Aww, thanks so much for the kind words Rob. I’m so very happy to be part of the Copyblogger family as well.

When “Hide Title & Content on Mobile Devices” is unchecked, the title & content is still not displayed on the iPhone (checking the box does not display the title & content either).
Is anyone else experiencing that?
I’d recommend asking on the support forum – that’s the best spot for troubleshooting.
