We are very happy to announce the release of the Executive 1.0 theme. For those of you who have already purchased the Pro Plus All-Theme theme package, you can download the latest copy in the Theme Download thread in the support forums. All others can purchase the Executive theme package here.
Author Box
One cool feature for the Executive theme is the addition of the Author Box – this will show the Gravatar of the author as well as include the Biographical Info for the user which can be added in the user profile.

Built in SEO for Posts/Pages
Another feature, and new to StudioPress themes, is the built in box for SEO Options. Here you can enter a custom title tag, keywords and description to any post or page on your site. This is great for those looking to optimize their sites for search engines and will certainly help in your rankings.

Support For Localization
Another awesome feature of the Executive theme is support for internationalization. Now you can fully localize your site with the language you desire.
Images/Videos on Homepage
Many of our themes include images on the homepage – with the Executive theme, you have the ability to display images on the homepage (as seen in the Executive theme demo site.) We also included the option to override these images by allowing embedded video code to be added, which will result in the video homepage layout seen here.
Auto-Sized Thumbnails
Also included is the ability to display auto-sized thumbnails. You can see that the sizes of your thumbnails can be configured on the Theme Options page.
Theme Options Page
As can be seen below, we have the option to change the size of the thumbnail images that are shown at the home page bottom. We use the TimThumb auto-thumbnail image script so the load times are much faster and you can resize the thumbnails on the fly.

About StudioPress
Delightfully classy as can be expected from Studiopress!
Almost was going to recommend it to a client, but she needs a different color scheme. It’d be awesome if you guys started offering a variety of color palettes with each theme.

Included in this theme, though, are the PSD files – so the color scheme can easily be changed to be entirely customized.

Great idea to add the SEO options into the theme. I assume you would have to disable all other SEO Plugins to avoid conflict?
I would be interested in this theme but is it possible to deactivate your SEO stuff as i use HeadSpace since months now, and do you already have a translated french PO file ?

No, we do not have a french translation of this Theme as yet. Translations are submitted by StudioPress members and since this is a new theme, no one has posted one yet.

When you click and drag the edge of the browser smaller than the width of the site, the Home page background moves with it…
The theme is designed for a minimum of 1024×768 resolution – anything smaller than that won’t line up.
I purchased the theme but the images in the bottom of the homepage don’t want to come out.

Andre, no there are no options built-into the admin panel for color management.
Brian! Thrilled that your Executive theme can be changed to a video home page! But before I buy… could you kindly answer this question:
I know that the thumbnails can be resized; does that mean that perhaps instead of 4 samples I could have 2 – larger- thumbnails because these will be samples of my work. I then would have to have repeat pages of the home page to show more and more samples, correct? OR:
If you could click on any of the 4 current sized video samples could they go to perhaps another page and play much larger?

it’s easy to either change the size of the video thumbnails, or to embed the larger video in the post (so that when they click through, they will see the larger version), or to do both of those.
