Lexicon 1.0 Child Theme Released

StudioPress is happy to announce the release of the Lexicon 1.0 child theme. This WordPress theme works on the Genesis Framework and can be downloaded by Pro Plus members in the support forum. All others can purchase the package here.

If you have already purchased the Genesis Framework and any other child theme previously, you can simply purchase the child package by itself, otherwise you need the Lexicon + Genesis Theme package.

We’re also pleased to announce that Lexicon is the first theme to be created by Roderick Sauskojus, who was the lead designer at ModThemes. Many of his designs will be developed into Genesis child themes and made available here.

Take it for a test drive…

  1. Nice Colors Combination Very nice theme

  2. Awesome! Another great website from your design team :)

  3. Have been a fan of ModThemes for some time and love this new design! Crisp and clean layout lends to an uber professional presentation. I really like the “postage stamp” edging combined with the rounded widget corners which is a nice contrast. Have a couple clients I’m going to recommend this one to…

    Great work Roderick!

  4. Looks great! Is it easy to get rid of those cut/triangle edges?
    Steve

    • Also my first thought :)

    • The cut edge background is a single repeating background image. Should be a cinch to replace or just remove. If you have any trouble hit up thee guys in the support forum I know they would be happy to help.

  5. Hmmm
Good looking theme. I love it… and already making plans for it.
Is there a way to change the homepage to show pages with thumbnails or just posts?

  6. Not Lexicon-related but wanted to comment on the new design aspects here at SP – beautiful! The front page is much more information-rich, a treat for old customers and new. Good job guys :)

    • Thanks so much Chris – it was long due for an overhaul that actually focused on Genesis, and we’re thrilled with the design concept that Rafal came up with.

  7. This looks lovely! Clean. Looks like I’ll be buying Genesis/Lexicon package soon : )

  8. I am new to this. How easy are the colors changed?

    • Hi Donna … Colors would have to be changed via the CSS and/or some background images.

If you are looking for a “DIY” theme that allows you to make these changes VERY easily, consider Prose.

  9. I’m new, too – if I want to add a category cloud or newsletter signup to a sidebar, is that just adding a widget? Or do I need to choose a child theme that already includes those elements?
