Portfolio Type Gallery Plugin for WP
 

I've looked through quite a few wordpress plug-ins and can't seem to find one that will do something like the following website:

Does anyone know of a plug-in that will act like this site?

Or, as an alternative, I would like to be able to create a post, set a featured image, select a category or add a tag, then have the featured image show up as a scrollable image in the appropriate category on the 'Portfolio' page as shown in the website above. When the image is clicked it would take you to the post instead of the lightbox.

I'm not aware of a plugin that will do this, you will need a custom solution from what I can see.
