Magazine vs Lifestyle
 

Hi, I would like to have Lifestyle template as it fits better to my purpose. However, Magazine has better social media integration and advertising possibilities. Is it easy to add these functionalities to Lifestyle or should I then choose Magazine as these 2 functions are crucial? Thanks for your help. KR, hekele

Yes - you can add those to any theme.

Magazine uses a plugin for the social media icons. It is not built into the theme.

Also - the advertising units were not built into the theme. They are text widgets with add code. That can be done in literally any theme.
