Posts or Pages?

We moved an existing site to a Studio Press theme and when transferring and adding content, we added to posts. There's about 72 posts that have been added, but it is feeling unwieldy. I thought we would want to flexibility of categories and tags for finding information, but it seems difficult to organize the information. Should we have added the content in pages versus posts?

Thanks for any feedback or direction.

WordPress still ultimately controls the organization of pages, posts, tags and categories. If you switched themes the content would still be there and be organized the same way.

Posts is the way to go. Categories are broad topics, tags are specific.

Thanks, Andrea. The rest of my question might be off-topic from the title, but it's related to content organization. I understand what you're saying. Part of the issue for us is trying to get the breadcrumbs to function a certain way to help with navigation. What we want to happen is that the breadcrumbs to be locational, but with posts, the links in the breadcrumbs take you back to the categories or archive of categories.
Home / Statewide Training and Resource Center / Resource Directory / Drugs / Alcohol

But, ideally if you clicked on "Resource Directory" in the breadcrumb, it would bring you to here: http://www.actmissouri.org/free-trai...source-center/ without necessarily showing all the posts in the subcategory.

That's why I was asking if using pages would make it easier as people drill down.

Thank you again for any guidance.

You could try modifying the breadcrumbs.
