mac or pc? (cross browser testing)
Hi,
Just trying to get an idea on where people develop on and what you all use for cross browser testing. I'm mac based and have been checking in and out of adobe browserlab for most things. Probably not ideal and I should get my hands on either parallels or vmware, but what do you ladies and gents work on and with? |
personally I have a PC and a mac. I mostly work on the Mac but fire up the PC for testing. I don't think there is any way to really get what you need from stuff like adobe browser shots.
|
yeah, I'm kind of discovering that out too. I wonder if Adobe is going to build on it's browserlab service. It's a neat idea to have a place with old browsers to take a look at.
Anyway, do you use the pc just because you have it, or is it preferable for some reason than emulating windows via parallels/vmware? |
I use it because I have it and it is much easier and cheeper (because it is there not over buying and setting up a PC just for browser testing).
|
Ah, I see. That's what I figured. Thanks!

I think Adobe's plan is to eventually have BrowserLab be a paid subscription. Firefox has an add-on, but I have only used it in Dreamweaver.
