Need Help, theme support
I purchased the framework and a theme this weekend.
I purchased backcountry, my blog looks nothing like the theme example screenshots. The header image is a much different size, there is also no scrolling slideshow for featured posts, nor can I see an option anywhere to turn that on.
I would think, if you sell a product, what is in the box should look like the picture on the front of the box, right?
So you say, no phone support, forum support only. Okay, here I am, registered. Then you say "Oh, put in your transaction ID to post support for themes."
Okay, I tried that, didn't work. You sent me two emails after my purchase. It includes a an invoice number which is a alphanumeric string of around 20 characters, that number did not work. It also has a transaction id, which is numbers only and about 10 digits, that also did not work.
So, from my stand point, I purchased a product that is not how it was described and I can't get support. I'm itching to do a chargeback with my credit card provider.
I'm sorry you are having trouble with this part of the support process. Unfortunately it is one of the limitations in teh support model we have been using. The good enws is we have a new support system that will combine with forums, extending the available support and making it easier to access the tutorials, downloads, and other important details withotu having to go through a second verification for the transaction. We are testing this and hope to have it out in the near future.
I know this doesn't resolve your specific issue, but I want you to know that this is something we are working to making much more user friendly.

okay I sent an email into support.
Now I have another issue, I figured out how to get the slider, but on one theme (modern blogger) turning it on removes all posts below it.
Once we get your forum account sorted we can get you into the tutorials which should help with the setup questions you have. If I have the email address you used I can make sure this gets taken care of more quickly, thanks.
