Revolution to Genesis *upgrade* path?
I purchased the Revolution theme (back a while ago) and see it's no longer offered or supported. In fact, a whole NEW method and framework are being used. A little disappointing since I spent the $79.95 for the "theme" and now can't get help, upgrade it OR use the new method (I'm guessing).
So, to my question. Does the money spent to buy Revolution ($79.95) apply towards the Genesis framework and all I have to do now is buy a new child theme? Or do I have to start all over? Would appreciate some insight. My client site (the reason for the purchase) requires an overhaul, and without community help, I may be in trouble. I can probably convince them to purchase a new child theme ($24.95), but asking them to buy the "framework" ($59.95) again, will be confusing. Can you help? |
I believe you are entitled to Genesis plus a child theme of your choice.
It is not really upgrading the site to a new theme - you just activate the new child theme, much like switching over to a new theme in WordPress. |
