Why did they use Minimum?
Hi All,
I was browsing the showcase today because I am interested in doing a site with Minimum, but when I looked at the sites that were done with it, they look nothing remotely close to minimum. So I am curious why anyone would pick a theme and make that site nothing like the theme shown. Whats the point? |
Minimum 2.0 just came out.
THe ones in the showcase are mostly done on the previous version. I will note in other showcase sites, many of the sites look nothing like the original theme. Some devs pick a certain theme to start with because of the functionality - not the looks. |

Could be things like existing widget areas and how they are laid out.

@Netviper, we build websites for small business owners almost exclusively using Genesis child themes. However, if you look at the completed sites, not very many of them look anything like the theme demos. The reason is we want to give the client a custom solution that doesn't require the entire thing to be built from scratch (which would be more costly and time consuming). We look for a theme that has the basic layout already in place, then customize the colors, graphics, and widgets to needs of the client. Hope that helps.

The showcase sites are intended to show what can be done with our themes. :) Sites that still look like the demo site are intentionally not included.
