Webmaster tools detenct thoutands of 404 error
 

Hi there,
I would like to comment an issue that I have with webmaster tools since some days, and I don't know how to solve it.

Google webmaster tools are detecting more than 3500 url like 404 error. I check it and all has the same problem. At the end of the link you can find /href=

Examples

post1/href=
post2/href=
tag1/href=
tag2/href=
...
...
I'm using for this blog Genesis (last version) with Lifestyle 1.1 and Wordpress 3.4.1

Guys, I know that can to be a lot of factor, and I continue looking for in other ways, but I would like to know if someone in the forum with Genesis has had the same problem.

This isn't a common error. Please post a link to your site and to a couple of your 404 errors.

Looks liek you might have some bad HTML somewhere. Possible from a bad plugin or edit. I checked several of your pages and couldn't find the HTML causing this, but this kind of error, especially with so many, is probably a plugin, possibly a site map or something similar.

I continue investigating it, and will post here when I find the issue.

Hi...Nick I had the same problem 2 weeks ago...found it to be as you say a plugin.. it was the sitemap.xml ...so I toke it of and used the site map builder in cpanel seams to be working fine know maybe this will help him..while im here nick...why am I showing here as Peter Ellis that is my name but my handle is wordpresswebsitebuilder Genesis Pro member myself and Pauline Young..strange its only started doing that this last week we have been pro members for 2 years almost..
