GoDaddy - Two Genesis sites loading too slow

Hi,

I manage a couple sites using Godaddy hosting and Genesis. And for some reason they have slowed down almost to a stop! Been happening for a couple days now. I will be contacting Godaddy, but wanted your input for any suggestions I may be overlooking.

2. http://georgiacartalk.com (this one is on CloudFlare)

Thanks.

Definitely a host issue and pretty common for that host. :-/

is there a host that you recommend? Because I use Go Daddy as well - not having this issue yet though

Pretty much anyone other than them. :)

That's sad. I use godaddy, and haven't had any issues; I like godaddy because I'm familiar with the site, and find it easy to access without needing to FTP etc. Is there another host you are aware of that has the same ease of use. I guess I'm in a place where I know what I'm doing, and have no idea of how to transfer domains etc...

Really? I find them one of the more difficult places to use. Other places like WiredTree, Site5, Hostgator, Bluehost and Dreamhost all use similar control panel.

I'm talking about for website hosting. You can have your domains at GoDaddy and the actual site hosted elsewhere.

Good point, Andrea, about the domain being at Go Daddy, and the actual hosting elsewhere; I just went the easy route - hosting and domain at the same place. I will check into some of the others you have suggested!

As far as being more difficult to use - they are the *only* ones I've used, so I don't have a point of reference, but I've never had an issue with finding my way around, so I assumed it was easy.

Among the devs I know, some of them have an extra fee they charge if the client is on GoDaddy, if that tells you anything. :D
