Category Images & Category > Child Category pages
 

hey there

Not too easy to explain what I'm looking for - but I'll give it a shot!

I want to have categories act like posts.

So each category would have it's own image
On each category page it should show a grid of all the child categories and their images
Each child category and it's image should link to that category page where all posts in that category will be shown

Preferably this would be done with a plugin so it's totally automatic, rather than having to add shortcodes to pages etc.

Is there anything like this out there - or how do I do it?

I've been searching but can't find anything.

I don't think that's quite what I'm looking for tho - that seems to be a manual way of doing it, i'm looking for something more automatic...

I want to add a category image when creating the category, and have that automatically end up in the right place in the theme/site.

Any other ideas anyone?

You do this once to set up the template, then it does the rest automatically afterwards.
