2 blogs on 1 site using categories
I am looking into possibilities for a client of mine. They want to have one WordPress site, basically with two blogs. They do not want two WordPress installs or a Multisite. The solution we are looking at is having the second blog be a specific category.
This category would have its own header and sidebar. These would need to appear on the category archive page as well as the individual post pages. In addition, subscribers need to have the option to subscribe to that one category, as well as the option to subscribe to the main blog minus that category. I am unsure that this the best way for them to go. It seems there is just much more room for glitches and complications in the future. Am I wrong? It seems a cleaner solution to do a multisite or two separate installs, but the client wants one dashboard. Any thoughts would be appreciated! |
It's far easier to just have separate categories instead of having them mess with Multisite
