Featured Property Post Template
http://halfonproperties.com
In the "How to Use the Featured Property Post Template", it refers to a Post-Template.php plugin. I see a post-template.php file in the agent plugins folder and moved it to the wp-content/plugins folder. I also see a post-template.php file in the includes folder and when I put the file into the plugins folder, I get the following error. Warning: require(/home/mhalfon/public_html/wp-includes/post-template.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/mhalfon/public_html/wp-settings.php on line 333 I guess that isn't right and put it back in the includes folder The thing is, I dont see the SINGLE POST TEMPLATE option. Also, the Featured Property is on the Recent Posts page with is a separate issue. Do I need a plugin from wordpress.org? I am clearly clueless. logiclab |
Re: Featured Property Post Template
What includes folder are you referring to? There isn't a folder with that name in the download. You should be moving the post-templates.php file from the plugins folder within the theme folder to wp-content/plugins then deleting the plugin folder from the theme as per the tutorial

Re: Featured Property Post Template
There is a file by the same name in the wp-includes folder.
Anyway, I got it now. I found wp-includes.php in the agent plugins folder and put it in the wp plug-ins folder and everything is fine. Thanks again Sozo. |
I am having trouble with this. I went to the post-template.php file from the plugins folder to wp-content plugins folder but I don't see an option for the single post template still.

Not Seeing Single Post Template Option
Have gone through the Featured Property Post tutorial and I am not seeing the drop-down option for "single post" to set up my featured property posts. What am I not seeing?
Here is a link to my website: www.dallascustomhomebuilder.biz Please advise at your earliest convenience. Thx. Scott |
Hi SoZo,
I'm having the same issue. I clicked on the "tutorial" link you provided, but that link is broken. I see that the post_templates.php is in the themes section and that it should be in the wp-content\plugins section. All the other plugins have their own folders under plugins, and there isn't one for the post_templates.php file. Is it a simple matter if making a subfolder and copying? Maybe a better question to ask is the tutorial you mentioned still available? Cheers |
