Display author gravatar rather than thumbnail
Hi all
Rather than having an image thumbnail on the home page, I'd like to pull through the gravatar of the author instead, as I am planning a multi-author blog and this will be a cool way for readers to see who wrote what. Obviously I could do this by uploading author images and pasting the URL of them into the custom field, but I reckon it would be a lot easier if I could pull in gravatars automatically. Any thoughts on this? It would also be cool to be able to include the author gravatar on the single post page, too - and maybe the author archives page! Thanks in advance, Dave |
Do you want the gravatar or an image you can upload to WP? IF the latter look for a plugin called "Author Image". If you actually want the gravatar then read through this and take a look at index.php in the Executive theme to see how it's used there.
