Trackking Wordpress Posts with Analytics
I've had Google Analytics working for quite some time now. The results are showing up, however, I have a question concerning the Index.php page.
If I view the top viewed pages on my site, the results are like (just making this up): / (My index page I assume) 1800 Just Added 400 Music Reviews 300 etc. Is there a way to ever view page stats for each individual post I make on Wordpress? It seems to me that all of my data is combined into one category called "/" in Analytics. I've got the tracking code placed on the index page itself, maybe it's not in the right place? |
Re: Trackking Wordpress Posts with Analytics
I'm not sure why Google analyitcs isn't seeing the individual posts, but this plugin might help you keep better track of what's going on: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/stats/

Re: Trackking Wordpress Posts with Analytics
Thanks!
I actually already have the plugin installed, as well as another called Wassup. I use those mostly for my post stats because I can't get Analytics to work right. Any other ideas? |
Re: Trackking Wordpress Posts with Analytics
If you place the analytics code immediately above </body> in footer.php you'll get stats on everything you have on your site.
