Google Analytics and Studiopress and subdomains
Hello Folks,
Can anyone point me to any legible inforamtion on how to set up goole analytics with subdomains. I have google analytics working nicely on mikemcsharry.com then I made a subdomain roundleics.mikemcsharry.com and I want google analytics on there. (genesis is so simple to sort the code out with - brilliant ). Both sites are on genesis themes. Do I need to remove the original code from the top domain and get google to regenerate code. the sample 'code mods' shown on google dont correspond with the codes I have. if I have to regenrate google code, is there a way to do it? |
For teh subdomains, generally you need to setup to track teh subdomain in Google and get teh tracking code from it. Typically the easiest way to insert teh tracking code with Genesis is to use the footer output in the Genesis theme settings, lower right column. No need to modify the theme files, which makes using it with mulisite much easier.
