How to Avoid duplicate title tags in Genesis SEO Option?
Hi StudioPress support team,
Which option I should select in Genesis SEO option to stop indexing comments, tags and categories pages.( I do not want to select No Index to tag or categories completely, but I want to stop indexing pages like page1, page2), For example, mysite/post/comment-page-2 mysite/post/comment-page-3 mysite/tag/page/2 mysite/tag/page/3 mysite/category/page/2 mysite/category/page/3 Google webmaster tool is detecting these pages as duplicate title tags in my blog. Your support and answer highly appreciated! Thanks everyone, Genesis theme is great |
The canonical url will point all the pages back to the original page, though for archives you generally would leave that as no-index to avoide duplicate content.

NicktheGeek,
Thanks for the response. By selecting no-index for tags and categories, will this effect the index on category url?, For example, I have several site links in Google which pointing to category links(http://www.sysprobs.com/category/vmware). Will it get effected? Sorry, if I'm asking wrong question in wrong place. Thanks in advance anyway. |
If your categories are already indexed they will no longer be indexed.

I have the same problem, think I have the correct settings. Is it that Google does not like our content? Google is not caching the front page for some reason.
