Child theme selection / Slider question
 

I have a photo blog currently on another premium theme. I own Genesis with the Landscape child theme, but it doesn't seem to be what I'm really looking for.

I would like my home page to have a slider that contains full width images, but I don't want to have to upload the images specifically to the slider. Instead, I'd like the slider to key off of the image post (upload once and done). Click the image in the slider, and it opens the corresponding blog post.

I imagine that I would manage the slider content by category, or alternately by the most recent posts.

So - I'm not really looking for Landscape support, as best I can tell, it's not how that child theme works. Instead, I'm asking for a child theme suggestion (or plug-in suggestion) that would allow me to have a slider with dynamic, easy to update content based on what I'm posting currently.

look into replacing the WP Cycle with the Dynamic Content Gallery.
