Thanks. But I mean are there some simple layouts which would suit gadget and tech sites. For example, check these themes. They are just cut out of the box for tech sites without the need of nearly any significant customizations. It is quite useful for creating new sites quickly.

I am also a subscriber there and use a lot of their themes but sometimes the website loading speed is not that fast. Hence, I am planning to use Studiopress for future sites. But are there no such simple magazine themes in Genesis where there would hardly be any need of customization. I just tried installing a few themes but they were very confusing to be frank. I have been using wordpress for say 4 years or so and so I am not bad at it. But the Studiopress themes are still looking to be quite confusing. Where do I show recent posts with thumbnails like in magazine style. I am also an elegantthemes subscriber/developer but Genesis is moving over my head as of now. It does not look anyway near any wordpress theme I have used previously. I am just banging my head but it does not look simple for sure as wordpress normally should be. :smash: I have used Studiopress many years ago when it was GPL and freely available from the revolution/studiopress website in early 2009 I suppose. But it was quite simple then and I thought it would be similar. But it is very confusing and I can hardly find magazine layouts now. During those days, half of the themes were magazine layouts if I remember and very easily configurable but now it is quite confusing. Many of the themes are also behaving awkward and the serenity theme demo slider is suddenly dancing like anything.
For example, I installed the sleek theme to check but I cannot create either blog or magazine style there. Then I tried Focus theme as it was looking a bit like magazine theme in the demo but it is looking no way near the demo when I install it. I am getting more and more confused. Where can I setup a magazine sort of layout for the themes. Where can I change colors to something plain as white etc. colors look better in tech sites. In other theme providers, there are normally some sort of panel to customize the theme, colors, settings etc. but I do not see any option here. How do I customize it without messing up the whole php, css etc. I need themes which can be installed and customized very quickly but it is all going over my head as of now. And I am still trying to find themes for some tech sites which would work out of the box without customization. Please advise as I am really confused as I am checking and trying to play a bit into the themes.
