private pages and access - not working
Hi there
I have created a download page that takes my clients from pay pal to a complimentary download - however, existing clients who I want to give the same downloads to are unable to access this page. I have set 'no follow' and 'no index' as I don't want google to take any notice of the page and I want to keep it hidden. I also set it as private - is that why people cant access this from the url link? Is it enough to simply add 'no follow' and 'no index' to ensure people wont find my downloads? If I were to set the page to require a password - how does that work with wordpress - do I provide the password? Does this happen automatically? Is there a better way to set this up? Much appreciate your help Leah |
If it is set to private, then only people who are members on your site can access teh page. If you set a password, then anyone you give teh password to will have access. You set the password.

Thanks Nick
I think I get it now - I can either make private and give a password or leave the private off and they can use the link I need to adjust this asap so thanks for the help |
