Plugin Suggestions
 

Hey guys,

I'm looking for suggestions on the best plugins to do the following tasks. I'm using Wordpress 3.2.1, the Genesis Framework, and the News Child Theme.

1) Modify user registration process. I want to be able to add/edit custom fields (both required and optional) that will be stored as part of a user's profile in the database. I also want to make the registration look and feel be consistent with my theme. Lastly, I'd like the Login to be easily integrated into either my header or a sidebar. I've read that using AJAX is a great way to do this. Right now, I don't even know how to add a login/registration area to my site.

2) Add/edit custom fields to a custom post template that I'm creating. I want to be able to build posts with different fields that are quick and easy to fill out. For each post, I want there to be associated titles, dates, authors, topics, and pictures that I can extract from the database when viewing the specific categories. I want to be able to use information from user profiles that I've created in question 1 as well.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don't have any suggestions for you, unfortunately - but I'll leave this post open in case anyone in the community knows of any plugins that will do what you need.
