Wordpress 2.8 Upgrade - Only "HTML" Post View - no "Visual"

Hi there,
I just upgraded one of my "Agent Theme" websites to Wordpress 2.8. My automatic upgrade said it was successful. However, immediately after the upgrade, I tried to edit a post and I'm not able to view the post in "Visual" mode - only the "HTML" mode is appearing when I click on both the "HTML" and "Visual" tabs at the top of the post. Could this be a problem with the new version of Wordpress? Do you have any recommendations for a fix? Please let me know when you have a minute. I'm feeling panicky about only being able to see the "HTML" version. Thanks, Liz

go to Users - your profile and see if you have Disable the visual editor when writing checked. Sometimes it can become checked or unchecked during upgrade.

Hi Debra,

Thanks so much for your replies. I took your advice and checked to see if the "disable visual editor" was checked under "users" and "your profile". This was not checked - so I have been unable to resolve the issue. As I mentioned, when I click on the "visual" tab in the post editor page, all I see is the html code for the post content. This started happening right after I upgraded to Wordpress 2.8.

Do you have any other recommendations? Please let me know. I'm really hopeful that there's a fix for this one. Thanks again, Liz
