how to best change child themes?

I want to change to the Executive 2 child theme, but as it is so completely different from my current theme I first want to make all relevant changes.

When we add new users (authors) in the backend you can fill out a lot of info on that person. Is there a plugin/widget that will add this info (via a button or so) at the end of a post?

Hi Craig, I had the alpha letters in front to get an order that I wanted to have. As soon as I figured out how to get them in this order by e.g. using the ID I will take out the alpha letters.
