i am not sure what you mean, if you haven't altered anything on the site, your logo will be an h1, look in the source and make sure, unless you have changed it, it will be an h1 tag on the HOME page....

I would just make a wp page called 'Guestbook'...

I would just make a wp page called 'Guestbook' and just leave comments, change the Have your Say? to Guestbook or whatever. Guestbooks are pretty old school, and dangerous for a spam attack.
