That does not seem to be the problem. I can remove the 160px ad entirely, and the issue persists on the "Latest Draft Forum" widget. If I make it more narrow, it creates a wider gap on the left side....

There was an open div <DIV> up higher in the code that went with the </DIV> that you suggested be moved. Removing just the </DIV> made a mess, so I removed the <DIV> too. I had added both of those....

I don't think it's an extra one. Remember that I added a DIV to try and group hpleft and hpcenter, and then hpright would be outside that div.
