This is soo obviously a hosting issue - two other sites we have on this shared server are having the same issue. No category association with posts. And we can't do a DB repair on any of them...

I would prefer an alternative thumbnail - in case a custom field one doesn't exist. Yeah - I know we did something similar with tabber but I'm still too much of a novice to apply that anywhere else....
