I'd suggest using Winscp, just login (FTP) and replace the logo.png file with a new one.

Don't forget that you need a background to your logo as well, you can find it in the file named header.png

For some reason I still have a weird problem updating the header.php - (clicking on "update file" just takes me to a 404 error) so I'll be able to take the search bar off...
