I am having the same problem where two blogs Featured Content Gallery don't work with Wordpress 2.8. However those do not use the Lifestyle theme. It doesn't seem to be specific to the Lifestyle Theme. Other than the fact that the FSG is pretty integral to the Lifestyle theme layout.
