I know how to edit the footer and am learning quickly how to do all kinds of things to make Genesis do what I want. It's the issue of the default page that is linked to, specifically this:
http://www.studiopress.com/themes/genesis
My issue is that it would be a good idea to set up an alternative page for developers to link to which clarifies that, yes it can be easy, but for more advanced customisations a certain level of skill is required and, if that is the case, it isn't necessarily a quick and easy solution for the unskilled.
Fact is that the unskilled who read this (who could be my clients) can easily misunderstand and think I am not putting in the hours!
I see that a brief statement is given to acknowledge this "Whether you're are a novice or advanced developer" but the loudest message conveyed is about how simple it all is.
Keep the main intro page by all means, but offer an alternative page explaining that work that can take many hours, is required for advanced customisations. If there already is an existing page that fulfils this function point me to it!
