Nick, that argument will lead you down the road of throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Outdated information is pruned with the pruning tools of the forum software.
Upgrade the forums with better software such as Invision, not downgrade it to a BBSpress plugin or whatever is my opinion.
As I stated in a separate post VBulletin which is which is what you been using here has been going down the tubes since it changed ownership and every new version is worse - in that I would support you.
The new ghost town does not have the sense of community and will never achieve what has been achieved here and what made Studio Press a superstar.
When we left Thesis the forums here is what made the difference for us and our customers.
But I know there is a business plan and Brian and his fellow shareholders have to do what is best for the business....
