Default Help with wordpress.com/org

I currently have a blog at wordpress.com. I signed up for a blue host account so that I could use the Genesis framework/Scribble theme, which I understood I should be using wordpress.org for. When I went into blue host to download the StudioPress files, it redirected me back to wordpress.com. Is this right?

No.

Perhaps your domain name is tied to your wp.com account?

Bluehost should also have a one-click install for the wordpress.ORG self hosted version. They can get you setup with a wp install on their site.

My registration is still with Melbourne but will be transferred to Blue Host within 5 days. Is that what you mean?

Yes, you need to change the domain name to point to the installation at bluehost - not wordpress.com.
