Default Change header height

In a previous Studiopress child theme, I added height to the header area to accommodate an older logo.

Now I'm using a different size logo and testing out different child themes. In each new theme, the header height remains too deep and the place where I originally added the space no loner exists in the current version of Genesis.

Could you please help me find where to take out some space just above/below my logo?

What do you mean by "too deep"?

First, a good start would be to adjust your logo image itself. It is almost 200px high, but most of that is effectively padding on the top and bottom. That makes it harder to control with CSS.

Then, with a logo image with a smaller height, you can adjust your #header styling, around line 202 of your child theme style sheet.

It is more than 100px. Right now, your header is 199px.

Your image is inside an ID of #headerphoto.

Are you trying to make it smaller? If so, you need to start with an image that has a smaller height.

You don't need to post any of your CSS, since that can be seen using tools like Firebug. If you're not using Firebug, install it. It will help you to tackle this problem.
