Limit on how many posts can be in Archive?

Default Limit on how many posts can be in Archive?
Not really sure how to phrase or search for the answer to this question, though I've tried.

I have a client who wants to add more testimonials (because 15 pages isn't enough...) to one of their category archive pages. Is there a limit, and if so, can it be increased? They said when they add new testimonials now, the new testimonials just disappear into "cyberspace" and I can't find anywhere to increase the limit.

No, there is no limit to the number of posts you can publish
