seo strategy for sayings and quotes

Hi,
I need some advice about seo strategy for sayings and quotes wordpress website.
What i've done:
I display quotes in title and there is no content.
I created many author profile and when i add quote i assign an author to his quote (post)
I think it's not a good idea but i have no other idea what is the right strategy!
If you have any advice would be very much appreciated.

Quotes should really be marked up as <blockquote> and the author with <cite>. It might make sense to use a custom taxonomy with the authors so all quotes by "thomas edison" have a common archive. I use some custom fields with my "quote" post format
