Default Tracking RSS subscriber count

Hello -

I'm beginning to think about moving away from Feedburner. I'm aware of the various options (FeedBlitz, etc) and don't have a question about them. I do have a question about the built-in feed, though.

If I decide just to serve up the built-in feed instead of using a service like FeedBlitz, can anyone tell me of a reliable way to track RSS subscriber count? I know there are plugins but a lot of them haven't been updated in a while and I don't know if there's a reliable, trustworthy one to use or if Jetpack captures that kind of data.

Thanks!

I'm not aware of a good solution other than third party service that effectively tracks the subscribers and also offers features where the feed is automatically converted for the feed reader and handles the email subscription. If you just want basic tracking, there are several plugins as you have noted. I have looked at several and none are particularly well reviewed so I'm not leaving Feedburner any time soon myself.

Thanks, Nick. I use Aweber for email distribution (and other things), so I just need an RSS solution. Your reply helped me decide what to do!

Nick,
I use FeedBurner. is there anyway to have post notification emails pushed immediately to subscribers? (i.e. as soon as the post has been added to my site?)
