Hacked

I currently use the News theme and have noticed that the header was hacked twice in the last week. I found href codes in it that I didn't put there. Anyone have any security advice to help keep my site locked down? The links go to a university.

Thanks for the site links, Rebecca. I called my host this morning and they think I should put a new copy of wp as well as my theme. Do you know where I can get a fresh copy of the news theme?

yes, you can grab one from the download link at the top of the news forum. If you are starting over, though, this may be a good time to switch to Genesis and the News child theme - it's a lot more robust :smile:

Wish I could switch to a newer theme. Unfortunately, I can't afford to do that right now.

I have the Revolution versions, which I don't see as a download option. Is that what's called "Classic" now?

please pm me your preferred email address - as a News member you are eligible to be grandfathered (grandmothered? ) into Genesis since you have the classic theme. I'll send you a copy via email. :smile:
