Select Multiple Categories at Once

Hello,

I'm looking to do the following:

Create a post and under the categories section in the new post in admin, select about 15 categories at once without having to individually select them.

Do you know if there is a way to group the categories together so that I can just select the parent and not have to check all 15?

I'm not aware of any way to do that programatically, may I ask why a post needs to be in 15 categories?

We have 99 cities on the site and the blog posts might be displayed on certain groups of cities. Thanks.
