Just to add to Paul's and Jeff's comments, it is probably a server issue such as wrong htaccess directives, php.ini configuration problem, or file permissions. As mentioned, contact your host company. If they are no help, you should have access to error logs in cpanel (or whatever admin tool your host uses) which will give more specific info as to what is causing the error.
