Well, unless you really, really need the future flexibility of widgetising this area, it's simpler to just modify home.php to pull in the Dynamic Content Gallery.

Open up home.php and replace this:

with this:

<?php if( function_exists('dynamic_content_gallery') ) {
dynamic_content_gallery();
} ?>
<?php } ?>

Then, turn off the tabber in the Theme Options.
