If I'm asking these questions in the wrong place, please let me know.

I installed the Genesis theme and configured the options and then I installed the Lifestyle theme, but as soon as I select the Lifestyle theme under appearance, the Genesis button goes away. Do the settings still carry over to the Lifestyle (child) theme even when you don't have the Genesis theme selected? I don't see a way to have both enabled.
