Same thing. Widget does not appear either place.

If I use in_category("Blog Post") it will appear on the individual posts. Still not when I click on "Blog" in the site navigation though.

Is making an identical widget and trying to target it to the Blog page worth a shot? That Blog page just acts strange. It is under Pages in my dashboard, so I guess it is a page, but it doesn't behave like one.
