It's certainly possible, you just have to edit the CSS. The RSS box is contained within the headerright class inside the CSS, so that would control where it's located. For the text color, you'd want to edit the appropriate class for the text. I believe it's under the enews and updates section in the CSS.
To see what style or CSS each element on the page is using, I recommend using the web developer toolbar for FireFox or Chrome. It allows you to view the CSS right there, and experiment without overwriting the CSS. Chrome has this option built in - just right click a page element, and say "Inspect Element". It's really cool.
