There are a lot of advantages to Genesis, in site management, flexibility, and SEO. There's also advantages with upgrades and the ability to do customizations without affecting the main theme files. Check out the Genesis Blog Category, and it should explain more.

Since the theme is very new, the demo is the only example as of yet, but I should have a few custom jobs done in a week or so. I'll make sure to post them.
